Barbecued Shrimp Kabobs

Its getting close to Summer time and with that brings grilling season! And of course sales on condiments :-) Here is a great recipe I found on the Heinz Ketchup website to put some of that Ketchup to use.

Marinating in a tangy barbecue sauce brings something special to this simple shrimp dish.

Prep Time: 45 mins
Cook Time: 5 mins
Serves: 4

1 cup Heinz® Tomato Ketchup
3 tablespoons Lime juice
2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
2 teaspoons Soy sauce
1 teaspoon Hot pepper sauce
1/4 teaspoon Garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon Ginger
1 pound Raw shrimp, 16-20 count, shelled and deveined

- Combine first 7 ingredients. In two small dishes, divide sauce into equal parts.
- Thread shrimp on thin skewers. Pour one half of the sauce over skewers and refrigerate 30 minutes, turning skewers once during refrigeration.
- Grill shrimp 3-5 minutes, turning once, until cooked through. Use the remaining sauce for dipping.

Note: If using bamboo skewers, to prevent burning, soak in water 10 minutes before threading the shrimp.
